Bouquet Wishes

Morning all!

I'm back today with a card that makes good use of left-overs and elements that didn't make it onto previous projects.

Last week I shared a card featuring the lovely BotaniCuts Lilacs, and I still had some spare flowers left over that I didn't use and decided to give them a new lease of life by colouring them with pink Distress Oxides this time, and adding some pencil and pen details to the centres.

The little lilac blooms are the perfect size for combining with leafy stems and branches (like those in the Winter Medley set) and popping them inside the It's a Wrap Mini Posy Pocket die.

I may have gone a bit overboard with the clash of decorative edges, but needs must as I had die-cuts from the Nordic Frames, Large Ribbon Maker and Petite Ribbon Maker Scallops dies, and a sentiment from the Sign Off Sentiments set all ready to get a new lease of life on an actual project instead of languishing in storage pockets and the dish of die-cuts on my desk.

It's not just die-cuts I was trying to use up - I also really need to make a dent into my collection of (now rather vintage) 6x6 paper pads.

I used the large Crimped Frame die to cut the spotty navy paper and also distressed the edges so that a little white would peek out.

Once all the elements were assembled, I added some large glitter dots to the grey scallop border as a finishing touch. I don't know about you, but it's those large enamel dots that I'm always left with and struggle to use up... Six down, just another 100 or so to go!

Until next time, happy crafting!
