Cup of Friendship

Cup of Friendship

Happy Thursday!

WOW, what a difference with the weather! It's been lovely to enjoy the sunshine this past week. I don't know about you, but it certainly sparks inspiration for me and makes working in my studio nicer.

For my cards this week I was inspired to use Reverse Confetti Cup of Friendship as it is such a pretty stamp set. I always reach for white card to stamp and colour on, it is purely out of habit.

However,  a card I made popped up on my phone the other day and I had used a dark grey card base, stamped and embossed an image in white and coloured using pencils. So that is what inspired my cards for today...

For my first card I used Concord & 9th Dove Grey card stock and the cup of flowers image. It really was a delight just to sit and colour, choosing beautiful bright colours too.

The Cup of Friendship stamp set comes with some beautiful sentiments, but they are on the larger size. So the sentiment I chose and used is from Avery Elle Speech Bubbles.

I had so much fun colouring and making this first card I went on to make a second!

This time I used Concord & 9th Mushroom card and chose the border style floral image and used the largest sentiment from the set.

Again I stamped my image in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used similar colours as my first card, but again it was just nice to pick anything that stood out to me to use!

That's all from me today. I hope I have inspired you to step away from the white card when stamping & colouring! If you do make a card inspired by my cards today, why not share it over in the SHC facebook page HERE, I would love to see.
