A Little Something...
Hello & Happy Thursday!
Today I have a card to share with you that will hopefully brighten up your day. I have dusted off Altenew Wavy Roses again and this time I was inspired to pair them with My Favourite Things Show Me Your Stripes stencil.
I've also added a sentiment from Reverse Confetti Best Sentiments. I love the trend of pairing florals with geometrics, though it isn't as 'hot' as it was a while back!
There is something beautiful with the stark contrast between the natural curves and waves in this case of the florals, against the sharp straight edges of geometrics.
I chose the sentiment not only because I want to brighten the recipients day, but also because of the style of font.
I stamped the wavy roses first and masked them to ink the stencil with Altenew Marshland ink from the NEW Nature's Wonder collection. I then flat coloured the roses with various shades of alcohol marker and added the sentiment in black ink.
A simple card from me today, but one which I hope has brightened your day.
