Christmas Trees Galore!!

Christmas Trees Galore!!

Morning! It's Deborah here. Sorry if I worried you earlier, but there are only four weeks to go until Christmas, so I've got a few more Christmas cards to share today. Here are the first two:

I've used the following Concord & 9th stamp and die sets to make all the cards - All the Merrys stamps, Trim the Tree stamps (an older set), All the Merrys dies, and Trim the Tree dies.

For these cards I used the tree die from All the Merrys dies. I created the red plaid with the lines stamp and the snowy background with the dots stamps both stamps from Trim the Tree. I die cut 'fa la la' from the dark green tree and also from red mirri card. I adhered the dark green tree to the card and inlaid the red mirri card for a flat finish. I added stamped lights and die cut stitched banners to the light green tree and adhered it to the card. I finished both trees by adding more die cut decorations, and stamped Christmas greetings on the front. On the inside of each card, I stamped a large greeting in red ink - this comes from Trim the Tree.

The next two cards are shaped cards and I used the large Christmas tree die from Trim the Tree dies to cut the cards. I started by cutting a strip of white card 11" x 4¼" and folding it in half to measure 5½" x 4¼" with the fold at the top of the card. I placed the tree die on the folded card with the top of the tree about ¼" above the fold and then die cut the card. I made two of these cards. I then die cut two green trees which I adhered to the front of the white folded card.

On the light green tree I stamped a few strings of Christmas lights and then added the 'fa la la' die cut words from the previous card. I used a glitter pen on the words and added glossy accents to make the words shine. Once the words were dry, I added some more die cut decorations. On the dark green tree, I die cut stitched decoration and then stamped the other large sentiment from Trim the Tree in versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold powder. I finished this card by adding lots of gold die cut ornaments. On the inside of both cards, I stamped a 'Merry Christmas' message in red from the All the Merrys stamp set.

That's all from me today. I had lots of fun making the tree shaped cards and they fit in a standard envelope so should be easy to mail. See you again next week.

Deborah, x
