Winter Village

Winter Village

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a winter village card using the Spooky Forest Backdrop to frame my scene.

I started by stamping all of my chosen images from the Winter Village Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth cardstock. I also stamped the sign post from Penguin Party. I then coloured all of the images in shades of yellow, red, green and blue. I used the Winter Village Die Set to cut the images. I added some Stardust Stickles to the roofs and trees.

Next I created my winter sky, I used a very light amount of blue and lilac ink and added some splatters using a white metallic ink. I then cut the Spooky Forest Backdrop four times from white card and layered them together, I added some light ink blended blue ink and some Stardust Stickles for a wintery feel.

Now it was time to put everything together, I started by cutting two hills and adhering them to my background, I then added my village houses and trees building the scenen as I go. I added a moon and shooting star to the background and the sign post to front of the scene.

I placed the Spooky Forest Backdrop over the scene and then stamped a sentiment from the Winter Village Stamp Set on to a banner and added it to the bottom of my card.
