Christmas Garnish

Christmas Garnish

I've used mini Christmas icon images for my card today with a clean and simple design that's a pop of colour on this Kraft card base....

Now I cannot pretend that this is the sort of card you could mass produce for Christmas but oh my goodness it was fun to make. I do love the miniature pieces in the Christmas Garnish die from MFT which is to accompany the drinks dies in a previous release but this set has a versatility of its own with so many pieces you could use to embellish seasonal cards along with other dies and stamps.

I started by die cutting all the shapes in coloured card and assembling the layers of those that required it. I used the orange slice from the original Garnish set as we all know Christmas isn't Christmas without an orange or two. Once I'd gathered all the images I arranged them into a strip across the card front and glued them down when happy.

I added a simple sentiment which is heat embossed in white onto a strip of Kraft card then popped up onto foam pads. Aren't those images the cutest! The bow would be great to finish off a mini wreath, the lights and trees would be good for any scene building with small houses and the pine branch would make cute reindeer antlers and you can probably think of other ideas too :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
