He Terri here! Today I am sharing a winter birdhouse card using lots of items from Lawn Fawn's latest release.
I started by using the Winter Springs Background Stencil Set, this is a 3 layer stencil set that has really useful etching to help line everything up. I chose to use soft minty green for the foliage rather than a true Christmas green as I didn't want the backgroun to be overpowering.
I then used a large die from the Stitched Rectangles to emboss the stitching before die cutting with the Scalloped Rectangles dies. My die cutting machine comes with a rubber embossing mat, if yours dones't you could try using funky foam instead.
To create the birdhouse I use the new Build-A-Birdhouse Die Set along with the Build-A-Birdhouse Christmas add-on. These are really easy to put together and give so many options. I used the foliage and flowers to adorn my scene, adding a little ink blending to them for added detail.
I added the stenciled background to an A2 card blank and then added the birdhouse with foam pads. I arranged the foliage around the birdhouse adding some glitter glue for added sparkle. I then stamped a sentiment from the Winter Birds Stamp Set onto some pale green card and die cut it using the Everyday Sentiment Banners.
