A Topping Christmas

A Topping Christmas

Hi! Deborah here with you today and I'm sharing my last card of 2020! I always make special Christmas cards for my family and this year I found the perfect stamp set for Jonathan's card - here it is:

This is a large card measuring 8" square. The focal image is the wonderful top hat from Colorado Crafting Company's Big & Bold - Frosty's Hat. It's a fab image and so easy to use. I stamped the outline on white card and coloured it with Copic markers. I replaced the coloured image in my stamping platform, restamped in black versafine ink and heat embossed with clear powder. The hat band can be left plain or you add the check pattern as I did. I then carefully cut it out and edged the image with a black marker. I stamped the holly, coloured, embossed and cut it out and added it to the hat. I covered the card with lots of snowflakes. I used the large snowflake from Colorado Crafting Company's Big & Bold - Winter Wishes Snowflake, in silver and soft teal snowflakes stamped with Concord & 9th's Snowflake Turnabout stamp. I finished the front by stamping a bold Christmas greeting using Concord & 9th's All the Merrys.

I kept the inside of the card really simple. I used one of the sentiments from Frosty's Hat and stamped the bunch of holly again. I really like this big hat. On smaller cards you can stamp some of the image, but on this big card it makes a fabulous statement image.

Well, that's all from me today and this year. I hope that despite all the different rules around the country this year, you all have a Happy and Healthy Christmas. Best wishes for a better 2021. See you soon.

Deborah, x
