Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall 22

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall 22

I'm taking part in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop today - if you're new to the hop, it's a fun even that happens a couple of times a year and features lots of coffee (and other hot drink) focussed cards, and all the stores/craft brands taking part have prizes on offer for blog hoppers (including a voucher to spend here at Seven Hills Crafts).   So if you've not started reading here from the hop, then check out this post here to make sure you don't miss any http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/20650   Or check out the posts on social media with this hashtag #fallwinter2022clh to make sure you're in with a chance to win.

For my card, I've reached for a delicious glass of wintery mocha using the Warm and Wonderful stamp from The Greetery which has stamps to create layers for realistic shading on the liquid in the glass so easy to create lots of fun drinks depending on your colour combo - I went with dark browns for a mocha-coffee topped with cream and some winter berries.  I fussy cut my glass but there are matching dies if you find that easier.   Once I'd finished the colour, I added a layer of glossy accents on top to make the glass look, well glassy!

To assemble the card, I opted for some layered shapes - a rectangle of patterned paper die cut with the Nordic Slimline Die also from The Greetery- using the partial die cutting technique to make it short enough to fit my none slimline card.   I used a set of circle dies to cut some scraps of card to layer up in green and red and embossed the Cheers! sentiment in gold onto the red circle.  I used the sprig stamps to stamp directly on the card for a bit more interest around the sentiment - sort of making it like a big berry to match the ones on the drink.

Head on to the next blog on the hop http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/20650

Happy Crafting!
