Merry and Bright

Merry and Bright

Hi Terri here! Today I am sharing a fun Christmas card where the sentiment is packing a punch.

I started with the background. I used the Winter Sprigs Background Stencils, stencilling onto a light beige cardstock using red, brown and green ink. I then added gold and white inky splatters and cut the stencilled background using a stitched rectangle die.

Next I used the Build a Snowman Die to create a cute snowlady. The die set is really fun and allows you to customise the accessories. I chose to use a scarf. I added a little ink blending around the edges and then placed it on the centre of the stencilled panel using foam pads.

To create the sentiment I used Henry's ABC's Die Set to cut the words Merry and Bright from both red cardstock and gold glitter cardstock. I adhered them together with a slight drop shadow. I added the words above and below the snowlady. I then realised that I needed either then word "AND" or an ampersand. I used Henry's Jrs ABC's Stamp Set to gold heat emboss the ampersand onto red cardstock and then cut it into a little flag for the snowlady to hold. I added the panel to an A2 kraft card.

I love how this card turne out, It would be really fun to mass produce. You could even change up the sentiment or colour combinations and achieve different looks.
