I've got a fun CAS Christmas card to share today - when I used the new Avery Elle Ho Ho Holidays stamp last week, I noticed how one of the Santa's had his hands upturned a bit like a waiter so I thought I could have him balancing a couple of drinks, celebrating his return to the north pole after his long night of deliveries and getting a little merry of his own on!

I used some old patterned paper as my background in my attempt to actually use some of my horded stash and die cut an apperture from it. I used the same die and another circle to cut a border.

I stamped Santa and coloured him with copics before cutting him out and popping him in his frame - I used scissors for a close cut but you could use the die if fussy cutting isn't your thing. I then used the MFT Sips and Sweets Die to cut out a tiny glass and bottle - perfectly sized for Santa and balanced one in each hand. To emphasise the party vibe, I added a spring of holly to his hat (from the same stamp set) - I'm imagining him dancing on stage in front of all the elves balancing his drinks. I finished with a sentiment from the same set which seemed to be perfectly matched for my theme.

I'm pleased with how this came out and like a drink themed card for my girlfiends so will knock out a few of these as it came together pretty quickly. I might even get the apperture in the middle on the next ones!

Remember there are two more days of postal strikes on Thursday and Friday this week so nothing will ship after today until Monday and parcels WILL be delayed.
