Christmas Ornament Banner Cards

Christmas Ornament Banner Cards

Morning! Deborah here with you this today. I've been busy making Christmas cards. Don't want to worry you, but there's only 6 weeks to go!! I've made five cards all using My Favorite Things Ornament Banner Builder stamps - recently release from MFT's vault. I used the coordinating Ornament Banner die to cut out five banners. I put a piece of the negative card into my stamp positioner and lined up all the little ornaments with the spaces. I then put one of the diecut banners back into the space and stamped the ornaments. I did pinks, blues, gold, rainbow, and red & green.

Here's my first card using the pink ornament banner:

I used Concord & 9th's Star Turnabout to create the background. I stamped the image four times alternating between pink and silver ink. I cut the banner into two pieces and adhered them to the front of the card. I used one of the greetings from Concord & 9th's Very Merry Sentiments and stamped it in black ink in the centre of the card. On the inside, I stamped a greeting using sentiments from Concord & 9th's Christmas Cottage, along with decoration from MFT's Ornament Banner Builder and C&9's Warm Wishes stamps.

My next two cards use the blue and rainbow ornament banners. The insides have the same sentiments and decorations, but done in colours to match the front of the cards.

On the blue card I stamped the star turanbout image twice, once in blue and once in silver, and on the rainbow banner card I stamped the background once in gold shimmer ink. I really like the way the ornament banner looks so different in the different colours. I used Concord & 9th's Joy stamp for the greeting on the blue card and Concord & 9th's Warm Wishes Turnabout and Very Merry Sentiments stamp for the greeting on the front of the rainbow banner card.

I changed the background on my last two cards and used Concord & 9th's Polka Dots Turnabout

I used cream card with the gold ornament banner. I stamped the polka dot background twice in gold shimmer ink. I adhered the ornament banner across the corner of the card and added on of the bold sentiments from Concord & 9th's Very Merry Sentiments in black ink, which I embossed with clear powder. On the inside, I simply stamped the verse from this stamp set.

My last card is in the portrait format - just for a change! I stamped the polka dot background twice. I cut the ornament border in half, adhered the two halves at the top corners of the card, and added the central ornament with a dimensional pad. I finished the front with another bold greeting in black. The inside has the same verse as the cream card.

That's all from me today - hope you've enjoyed the cards. While all these cards feature the die cut ornament banner, I do plan on making some cards just using the Ornament Builder stamp. See you soon.
