Christmas in July 3

Christmas in July 3

Hello, good morning! Deborah here with you today. I’m continuing with my Christmas in July theme. I have three cards to share today – all made using products from Altenew and Concord & 9th.

I started off thinking this would be a one-layer card. I used my stamp positioner to stamp the large multi-step mistletoe leaves from Altenew’s Majestic Mistletoe at the corners of my card. One of the leaves has spaces for berries, so I added them in soft pink. I filled in some of the gaps with the smaller mistletoe leaf and added some berry images using a small stamp from Altenew’s Beautiful Inside stamp set in two shades of pink. I finished by stamping one of the sentiments from Altenew’s Warm Blessings stamp set in bold black. I then decided to use a stitched edge die to cut out the panel and layer it onto a green A2 notecard.

Inside, I die cut a piece of white card and stamped another greeting from Warm Blessings in green and added a verse from Altenew’s Beautiful Inside stamp set. I finished by adding another mistletoe leaf from Majestic Mistletoe.

Next is a cleaner and simpler card with a non-traditional colour theme. I stamped the large multi-step berry mistletoe leaf from Majestic Mistletoe in shades of teal. I used orange for the berries. I used a stitch edge die to cut out the image and layered it onto a piece of dark teal card slightly larger than the die cut panel. I finished the panel by stamping the word ‘noel’ from Concord & 9th’s Mistletoe Messages stamp set in bright orange. I adhered the panel in the centre of a light teal A2 side-opening notecard.

Inside, I cut a mat layer of dark teal card and a white panel slightly smaller. On the white car I stamped one of the large mistletoe leaves from Majestic Mistletoe in soft aqua ink. I finished by adding a scripty greeting from Altenew’s Warm Blessings stamp set and a verse from Altenew’s Beautiful Inside stamp set.

My last card focuses on some die cut mistletoe made using Concord & 9th’s Mistletoe Messages die set. I made a white top folding A2 note card. I used a selection of stamps from Altenew’s Majestic Mistletoe and Beautiful Inside to stamp a background on the card front. Next I used a stitch edge die to cut a piece of vellum which I adhered over the background. I used the large mistletoe die from Mistletoe Messages to cut a piece in soft aqua card, dark aqua and a piece in lime glitter paper from Concord & 9th’s Summer Glitter Pack. I adhered them to the front of the card. I die cut a red glitter ribbon which I layered onto a stack of three white ribbons and adhered them all to the bunch of mistletoe. I finished the front with a simple banner greeting which I made by stamping a greeting from Concord & 9th’s Mistletoe Messages stamp set and used the matching banner from Mistletoe Messages die set to cut it out. I used dimensional pads to adhere it to the card.

Inside the card, I cut a mat layer of dark aqua card and on the white panel I stamped a mistletoe leaf and added a scripty greeting from Altenew’s Warm Blessings stamp set.

That’s another three cards from my Christmas stash. Sorry about the photos - it was very, very bright when I took them, so there are a few shadows. I’ll be back next week with my last selection of Christmas in July cards. See you then.
