Sweater Tree

Sweater Tree

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing my last post of the year for the Sevenhills Blog, so thought it should be a Christmas card.

I love Lawn Fawn's Ugly and Bright Stamp Set and am always looking at ways to stretch the use of an item... I think I've come up with a really cool idea, A Christmas Tree made of Ugly and Bright Sweaters!

I started by stamping out ten sweaters and a little christmas hat, I knew I wanted a 4,3,2,1 formation with the hat at the top to define the shape. I used my alcohol markers to color them and then cut them using thecoordinating Ugly and Bright dies.

To create the background I used the Snowflake Backdrop Hot Foil Plate to deboss my a piece of A Neenah 80lb cardstock. I love to use hotfoil plates like this. They are a higer priced item so getting more from them justifies the cost for me. I used my rubber embossing mat and ran it through my Big Shot. I then ink blended some Salvaged Patina Oxide ink over the surface and added some splatters using Liquid Stardust.

I added the debossed background panle to an A2 note card and then added a snowflake frame using the Snow Flurries Backdrop Die, I cut htis from shimmery white card to tie in with the liuid stardust. I then placed the Sweater onto the card using foam tape. I then stamped a sentiment from the Ugly and Bright stamp Set and added it in 3 parts.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate, wishing you health and happiness for the new year.
