Clean & Simple Christmas

Clean & Simple Christmas

Jen here and today I am sharing three simple image focused Christmas cards with you using a mixture of last year's and newer Anita Jeram images.

I started off by stamping the images with copic friendly ink using my stamp positioner (I left the stamp in there as I am going to overstamp with versafine clair nocture ink once I have coloured them in!) and then coloured them in using alcohol markers. For the deer I used a blender pen to remove some of the ink to create the white spots on his back.

To overstamp the images in versafine clair i placed them back into the stamp positioner ensuring they were in the same place (you can stamp onto a piece of acetate to check) and then restamped them over the top.  I love this technique as you get a crisp line and it adds back in any detail that may have been lost.

I trimmed each of the panels down before matting one and adding pen detail to another.  Although I wanted the cards to all look similar this is a good way of adding subtle differences.

I stamped sentiments from each of the sets to add to the cards and found a Merry Christmas from another Anita Jeram set for one of them.

For each card I selected some DSP (Add a notification for the Lawn Fawn one as it will be back in stock soon.... ) and cut an A2 panel to add to the front of the card base.  I then mounted the image onto each card and added in the sentiments.

The main focus on these cards is the image and the colouring so I decided not to add any other embellishments apart from some clear glitter but you can also use stickles for the same effect.

One last thing before I go... Did you see that Seven Hills Crafts is the exclusive UK Supplier of 'The Greetery'... No?  Well go check out all the amazing stamps and dies HERE they are absolutely gorgeous!!

Have a great Saturday

Jen xx
