Snowy Day Fun

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing an Interactive Christmas card using Lawn Fawn's Shutter card die set and Snowball Fight stamp set.

I started by cutting the Shutter Card elements from 80lb Neenah Solar Crest cardstock. I then took a piece of printer paper and torn it to create a hill to use as a mask. I then applied Salvaged Patinia Distress Oxide Ink to the sky. I moved the mask down the card and used the remaining ink on my blending brush to create a second hill.

I realised that I should have added ink to the sky on both the centre panel of the card and the shutter flasps, so I cut the shutter flaps and used the Shutter Card add on die to cut the centre panel. I added them in place with a low tape adhesive and placed the mask back over the top and added the sky to those areas. With the mask still in place I added some Inky splaters to the sky.

I used the circle that pops out from the centre panel to stamp a sentiment from the Shutter Card Holiday Sayings Stamp set. I took all of the images from the Snowball Fight stamp set and stamped them onto Neenah Solar Crest cardstock using an alcohol friendly ink. I then coloured them with alcohol markers and added white gel pen highlights. I used the Snowball Fight die set to cut the images out.

Next it was time to bring all the pieces to together and set the scene. I wanted the scene to show a few of the naughty mice having a snowball fight while one was building a "snow mouse". I love the little snowballs flying through the air.

The outside of the card uses one of the dies from the Shutter card set to add panels to the front. I chose white card for these and then added some patterned paper on top. I then constructed the belly band using the die from the Shutter Card set. I added a Stamped and die cut image from the Snow One Like You stamp and placed it on to a die cut circle on the middle of the belly band.
