City Christmas
Yes, I am STILL in Christmas card production mode - need to crank out a lot this weekend so I can get my card in the post next week before its too late again (why do I do this every year????)
Anyhow, these were quick and easy to make with just a couple of products from the Greetery's latest release - Christmas Time in the City Die and Christmas Time Sentiments Stamp and matching die for the ribbon.
Although these dies were designed to work inside the Hourglass Frame Die but as you can see, they do work well as standalone dies too.
I decided to make a two for one, and die cut a circle from white card which would form a frame for my first card, and then the circle would be the focal element on my second.
For card one I did some ink blending on the base card and then secured the frame over the top. I did cut the buildings from shades of grey and the pond from white glitter. I added yellow card behind the building to show the lights. I added one large tree over the top and used the stars to decorate it and finished with the string of lights behind the tree. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the banner - its shaped to fit perfectly!
For the second card I went with chillier colours and used stickles to fill in the windows. I used the tree in the set but chopped the bottom off so I had two smaller trees to place on the sides. I drew around the outside of the die I used to cut the circle to get a gold border and finished with another sentiment from the same stamp set.
That's all for today - catch you on Sunday.
