Birthday Balloons

Birthday Balloons

Good morning! It's Deborah here with you today. You all know that I like to mix up products from different companies on my projects. Today, I'm here with a simple birthday card made using Concord & 9th, and Lawn Fawn products.

I started by stamping the circles from Concord & 9th's Birthday Stacks stamp set on white card. I coloured them with Copic markers, restamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I added the string images to the bottom of the circles, thus making them balloons! I used a black marker to extend the length of the balloons and added some sparkle with glitter pens. There are some little stamps in the set that can turn the circles into ice-cream cones. I used the matching die from Concord & 9th's Birthday Stacks die set to cut out the image and trimmed down the image to fit on the front of the card. On some scrap card I stamped one of the little birds from Lawn Fawn's Chit Chat stamp set along with the 'happy birthday' speech bubble. I used Versafine Clair Verdant ink to stamp the speech bubble. This ink gives a lovely crisp image and it's pigment so you can use it with embossing powder too. I used dimensional pads to attach the bird and speech bubble above the balloons.

For the inside, I cut a mat panel of green card and on the white panel I stamped some of the words from Birthday Stacks along with the row of birthday presents. I coloured the parcels with Copic makers, embossed the image with clear powder and added a little more sparkle with a glitter pen.

This was for my nephew who was 18 years old at the weekend. I think it's a fun card and I know he'll enjoy the birthday present inside !! :) That's all from me today - have a good week and I'll see you then.
