Morning! Surprise! It's Deborah here with you today - I switched with Anika. I've got a very simple birthday card to share with you today.

I've used the sketch from the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge for the layout of the card. I needed a birthday card for my brother-in-law, something simple, something fun. Simply Celebrate from Lawn Fawn contains a row of candles and these fun balloons, both would work well for a birthday card. I picked the balloons. I stamped them, coloured them with Copic markers, added a flash of white for a highlight, restamped in Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed with clear powder. I used the matching Simply Celebrate die to cut out the image. I found some design paper in my stash that matched the balloons, cut a panel for the bottom of the card, added a strip of black card and then stamped the sentiment in Versafine and embossed with clear powder.

On the inside, I cut a mat layer of the design paper and on the white panel added a birthday greeting from Altenew's Plentiful Pine stamp set. I added the balloons going off the top of the panel and coloured them to match those on the front of the card.
