Milk and Cookies

Milk and Cookies

Hey, Terri here today, with not one but two cards! I don't know about you but I love a Sweet Treat and Milkshake and Cookies are too nice to say no too, so I've created a couple of cards that feature naughty snacks.

I will be using the Milkshake Stamp Set and Sweet Treats Stamp Set from Mama Elephant. Both cards will use masking nad ink blending to create cute scenes.

My first card uses the Milkshake Stamp Set. I started by stamping the cute cat with the cream on his head in alcohol friendly ink onto 80lb Neenah solar crest cardstock. I then stamped him onto a post it note and fussy cut it. I then palced it over the top of the other stamped image to protect it while I stamped the other image, giving the effect of it being behind the cat.

I coloured all of the stampe dimages with alcohol markers, allowed them to dry and then masked them off in order to ink blend the background. I chose light pink in the lower section to look like a counter top and blue in the upper area, I added some water splatters on the blue area and dabbed with kitchen towel.

I decided to add a rectangle frame over the image using two of the Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. I adhered this with glue and then added it to a die cut background using the xoxo Background Portrait die, I left all of the die cut pieces in for a fun look. I then stamped a sentiment onto white card, trimmed it and added it using foam tape.

My second card is Sugar Overload, it features a freakshake and cookies, I remeber when my kids were younger taking them for a freakshake and they ending up bouncing arund for hours from all of the sugar and artificial additives, lol.

I starte the card by stamping the cute monkey with the cookies onto 80lb Neenah Solar Crest Cardstock using alcohol friendly ink. I then masked it and stmaped the mason jar image. I then masked that images before adding some ink blending to the background, just like inthe first card only this time I used a patterned stnecil for the top section.

I removed the masks and added colour to the images with alcohol markers and added some sparkles in place using a sparkle pen. I trimmed the front panel to measure 4" by 5.25" and added it to a pink A2 card. Lastly I added a stamped sentiment on foam pads.

These are super cut cards that were fun to make, it's been a while since I did any masking but I really enjoyed it and how it allows me to create a scene. Thanks for stopping by today.
