Mini Gift Notes

Mini Gift Notes

I've got a quick little gift project on the blog today - perfect if you want a little handmade teacher gift or party favours.

I spotted that the main body of the new Little Bits Envie Die from Reverse Confetti was the perfect size for post-it notes, so I thought it would make a cute little gift to add some pretty post-its inside.

I simply die cut the envie from lilac card and then trimmed an extra square panel of the same card 6.5cm.  To decorate the outside I used the new Sunny Flower stamp and die set.   I stamped the "thanks" and "friend" sentiments in green directly onto the front flaps before folding the score lines.

I stamped the flower in wilted violet and villaneous poison without the outline stamp and die cut with the co-ordinating die, adding a yellow and black centre on top and a couple of leaves on the sides.   I stuck the whole flower just below the slot the top of the slots to decorate the front of the gift.

To add the post-its I just used a glue dot to stick the back of them onto the square card I cut and then I used the card to poke through the holes on the back of the envie where you would normally put your note card.   I halved my post-its so it wasn't too bulky to fold over the envie to close it.

This would be a really easy project to batch make so you could do lots in different colours for an easy and plastic free gift to add to party bags for kids, you could even stamp names on them so they become place cards too.

There will be new items in store this week but we don't have any fixed eta's.  As it's going to be super-hot this may well slow everything down too.  Stay hydrated folks!
