Ice Cream Helps
I have been doing a spot of colouring this week for a summery card.... anyone for mint choc chip ice cream?? I've used Colorado Crafts Big & Bold Slimeline Ice Cream stamp set and as the name suggests..... it's a lovely large image to take centre stage on your projects and to colour as well....
I cut a panel of card and stamped the ice cream in Copic friendly ink then used my markers to colour the image. Instead of the classic vanilla or strawberry I opted for mint Choc Chip so the cone had to have a layer of chocolate around the top too. I decided to go with a loose colouring style and leave areas of white in the image and then used my Polychrome Pencils to add extra detail and shading. The phrase is stamped in black ink and then over stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with black powder to help it stand out and appear bolder.
I made a mask of the ice cream using second generation stamping earlier, I placed it over the coloured image so I could softly blend Milled Lavender Distress ink in the background. I think its better to do this after embossing the sentiment to reduce the risk of black powder specks on the background. I attached the panel to a card base and added this strips of card in brown, mint and lilac to peek out from behind, in line with the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by, catch you soon :)
