I have a fresh summery card today featuring some delicious strawberries from Altenew's Beautiful You stamp set but the star of the show has to be MFT's Rectangle Trio stencil which I've used to make the checked background...

I had seen one of the MFT design team use the stencil like this and thought what a great idea!

I went with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink for a red check tablecloth and added a few line details with white gel pen and black dashed lines with a fineliner.... by the way, I found white gel pen doesn't like oxide ink but it shows enough so thats okay.

I stamped and watercoloured the images before trimming them out with scissors and embossed the label sentiment on black card for a strong contrast....

Just for a finishing touch I used a ruler and a piercing tool to make holes through the label and then used white thread to backstitch it onto the card.... it's been ages since I added sewing to a card!!
