Birthday Bubbles

Birthday Bubbles

Hi there, I am really excited for today's post, I've been wanting to play with the Bubbles of Joy and Bubble Sentiments from Lawn Fawn for a while and I finally had time in my hectic schedule to make a more in depth card.

I started by stamping and colouring lots of bubbles, mice and accessories using my alcohol markers. I then die cut them all and set them aside while I started on the background.

Using the Small slimline with lift the flaps die I cut two stitched slimline rectangles, I used the first to create the cloudy sky using the Slimline Cloudy Stencil, I used Distress Oxide ink and a blending brush for a smooth result.

The second slimline rectangle was used to create the gassy hills, I took the Grassy Hillside Borders and cut 3 section each larger than the one before, cutting from a stitched rectangle means that everything will have a nice stitched border.  I coloured these with Distress Oxide ink.

Before assembling the card I added some Liquid Stardust splatters to the sky. I added the grassy borders, a Bubble Sentiment and stamped a secodary sentiment.  I then added the mice and bubbles using a comination of foam pads and wet glue. To finish off I added glossy accents to all of the bubbles and the sentiment and then mounted my stitched rectangle onto a stripy slimline card base.
