I thought it would be fun to go old school today and challenge myself to a one-layer card only using stamps from the new Lawn Fawn release. As we live on the outskirts of Sheffield close to the peak district, we're surrounded by farms so I'm used to seeing hay driving past the window. So I was drawn to the Hay There Hayride stamp set and wanted to make a fun scene with it, I am also in love with the Wild Wolves so I snook one of those in too.

I created my scene with masking and as I didn't want to get my stamping tool out, I went old school and just stamped my scene on scrap so I could work out where things would be, then I used the scrap to line up my farmer and chicken so I could stamp those first direct to my card. I masked them off and then stamped the rest of the scene over the top.

I coloured them all with pencils and drew my own background - just some soft shading blended out using a dry stump towards the edges. I added some upward strokes in shades of yellows to make a hay field behind.
