Pots of Love

Pots of Love

I'm revisting a lovely stamp set from the greetery today, another of my favourite themes.... pot plants. They can be useful for many types of cards and this set from the greetery allow you to mix and match the plants and pots as they are stamped and die cut seperately ......

I found a few scraps of off cut card and just stamped out all of the plants and pots using my stamping platform. The plants are all two step layered images and you can easily use your regular stamp blocks but a platform makes life easier to add extra shading by using different colours of ink on one image. I used that technique to stamp the pots out and give them some shadow and highlights.... I also used simple masking to make a couple of the pots two tone.

For this card I used the Crosshatch Polka Dot background and light grey ink to make a backdropthen arranged three of the pots and plants on top of an angled piece of card to ground them. I just added a simple sentiment from a scripty set by MFT.

The backdrop on this card is made using the Colour Spots stencil, I love the fun shapes you can overlap to make a bigger background with this stencil. I grouped another three plants and then added a punny sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Smitty's alpha.... I think this is my favourite of the two cards :)

So after stamping out a small collection of plants I have two cards, I think that's pretty good going and I had one leftover I couldn't fit on..... one I can use another time :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
