My card today features a rather playful four-legged friend and I reckon if dogs could say Happy Birthday, this is probably what it would sound like!

I was inspired by this little dogs pose to make this card so I started off by making a negative space mask using an arch shaped die and then placing a wall stencil over the aperture to blend ink through. After lifting the stencil I removed the mask and replaced the stencil to continue inking the wall with a softer hand to give that spotlight effect. I made my own mask for the grass and used the new Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink which is just the perfect shade of green and a great addition to the distress line.

I coloured and cut the little dog out, although dies are available, and gave him a tennis ball which is made with a small coloured circle. The sentiment is from an older MFT set called Lucky Dog and the add on phrase is computer generated.... sometimes alphabet stamps just wont do the job.
