Party Animals
I couldn't wait to have a play with the latest Picture Perfect set from MFT.... I love the selection of animals and sentiments to go with them. I started with the Gorilla and his party blower!!
Instead of making the images into polaroids I decopaged them and turned them into mini pictures in frames on the card front. I started by selecting a background paper and stamping the image onto it then stamped it again onto white card. After colouring with markers I added detail with Polychrome pencils and fussy cut the images out! Yes a bit fiddly but if you do the tricky bits first with a knife it makes it easier.
I used foam pads to adhere the gorilla and attached the bunting flat to the background. The Selfie Square die leaves a narrow gap around the outside of the image so I found the middle sized Wonky Scalloped Square Frame die makes the perfect size mount to fill that gap. Just adhere it behind the selfie aperture before placing the frame over the image.
I stamped a sentiment and a couple of freehand turns with Concord & 9th's Confetti turnabout on two opposite corners of the panel in a light ink to add some subtle pattern before attaching it to the card base
I made a second card using the parrots in the same way, this time layering the parrots and balloon higher than their party hats....
I added a custom sentiment using Mama Elephants Bella Alphabet and part of a MFT sentiment from this set.
Aren't they fun.... the parrots are my favourite because they're so colourful!
