Birthday Fishes

Birthday Fishes

Hi stampers, Anni here!

It was my father’s birthday a few day ago and I made this birthday card for him.

He found a new hobby recently: He keeps fishes in a little pond. Actually, he is talking about these fishes a lot. So of course, I had to make a card with fishes. And Waffle Flower’s Mermaid Mail set has a lot of fishes.

I stamped all the fishes but also the water plants in the set a few times on watercolour cardstock using waterproof ink: Versafine Onyx Black ink. I coloured the images using watercolour pens.

Because I didn’t want a white border around the images I fussy cut all of them. But there are coordinating dies available.

For the background I used watercolours, too. I laid down a very light wash of colour with a lot of water. On this background I arranged the fishes and the plants.

I adhered my scene to the card base. To achieve the feeling of an aquarium I added white cardstock above and under the scene with dimensional adhesive.

The sentiment that went well with the card I found in Waffle Flower’s Under the Sea Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Anni
