Yappy Birthday to Yoooou...

Yappy Birthday to Yoooou...

Hey there crafty friends, Terri here! Today I am super excited to share a card using dog themed stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn's most recent release. If you're a dog lover or have familt and friends thata are then these products are perfect for all occasions, Let's jump in and see how I created this card.

I started by stamping all the images from both the Yappy Birthday Stamp Set and the Yappy Birthday Add-on Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth white cardstock with an alcohol friendly ink. I than coloured the images with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and added white gel pen highlights. I die cut the images using the Yappy Birthday Coordinating Die Set and the Yappy Birthday Add-on Coordinating Die Set.

I then started to create the background using the Cloudy Stencil to ink blend the evening sky. I used Distress Oxide inks, picking shades of yellow and pink. I then cut some grass using the Slimline Grassy Hillside Borders Dies, I then added ink blended green ink using a soft blending brush.

Next I decided I wanted a fence but didn't have a die so I cut some brown cardstock into 0.25 strips, I used two for the cross rails and the rest to make the uprights with pointed tops. I added the fence behind the grass and then onto the ink blended background. I trimmed this panel to measure 4" by 5.25".

I started to layout the die cuts deciding which dogs would go where, at this point I knew that I wanted the howling dog on the left so that he could howl "Yoooou" I stamped the sentiments whith black ink and then added all the die cut images with a mix of glue and foam pads. Lastly I added a piece of blue gingham paper from the Gotta Have Gingham 6x6 Rainbow Paper Pad to an A note card and added the main panel with foam tape.
