Slimline Birthday Card

Slimline Birthday Card

Hi stampers, Anni here!

Are you already infected by the slimline fever? I definitely am! And I love all the dies that come along.  I just recently purchased Mama Elephant’s Slim Window Dressing. I love the slimline sets Mama Elephant released. They are a little bit more expensive, but you get so much for your money. You not only get the rectangle dies but also some border dies and in this set windows, flowers etc. That’s a good starter set to join the slimline trend.

So I wanted to use this die set and went through my stash to find stamps that will go along. And I was so happy when I realized that the peek-a-boo sets by Avery Elle are perfect for slimline cards. I chose the set Peek-a-Boo-Pals – so cute.

For the colouring I combined watercolours and pencils – at the moment my favourite way to colour stamped images. To cut the images out there are coordinating dies available.

I also picked some birthday images from Avery Elle’s Unicycle to dress up the critters.

I die cut three windows from a white cardstock panel. For the background I added some ink blending to the cardstock. I used Distress Oxides. On the background I also stamped confetti in the same colours I used for the ink blending.

Until now I only made landscape slimline card. I am a little bit afraid of a portrait slimline card. Have you tried it?

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Anni
