How to create a birthday card for dog lovers!

Hey there, Happy Tuesday! Terri here! I can not believe it's July already! Where is the time going? I am in the midlle of a craft room tidy/makeover and as part of that I've been sorting all of my made cards into catagories and realised that Birthday cards are the one catagory I have the least of , so I'm trying to make as many as I can this year. Today I am making a birthday card for a dog lover.

I started by stamping images from the Yappy Birthday Stamp Set and Yappy Birthday Add-On Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth cardstock. I then coloured the images with alcohol makrers and used the Yappy Birthday Die Set and Yappy Birthday Add-On Die Set to cut the images. I then added white gel pen highlights.

Next I started on my background. I used the newly released Bunting Background Stencil Set to stencil onto super smooth cardstock. I added some black and pearl inky splatters and then used the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables to cut this panel. I cut a piece of rainbow stripped paper using the Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and adhered this to an A2 white card base. 

I chose two sentiments form the Yappy Birthday Stamp Set and stamped them onto white banners. I used the longest sentiment to help place the dogs and gifts. I added these with foam pads. I then pulled out the AROOOOO stamp and added this directly to the background above the dogs. I added the second sentiment to the top right of the background and then mounted this panel onto the card. Lastly I added some glitter glue to the hat, bow and icing on the cake.

This is such a fun card and was easy to create. When ever I stamp out a new stamp set I stamp the whole set 4 times and keep the extras in little labeled boxes to use later. This makes it quick and easy to make a card in a rush.
